Expansion Story
The Expansion’s Story
The expansion’s story begins immediately after Kronika’s defeat at the hands of Liu Kang, who quickly attempts to rewrite time and undo the new era that Kronika wanted to build, but before he can rewrite time, Shang Tsung appears, accompanied by both Fujin and Nightwolf, who warn Liu Kang of the possibility… Shang Tsung suggests sending him back in time so he can destroy the flow of time if he tries to complete history without Kronika’s crown, which occurred during the Liu Kang agrees to send Shang Tsung back in time. Accompanied by Fujin and Nightwolf, who monitor the evil sorcerer to ensure that he does not carry out any suspicious plans during this mission.
Expansion Content
The expansion story consists of 5 chapters, providing an experience that lasts approximately 3 hours. Most of these present a series of cinematic clips with a series of confrontations that separate each event from the next. The new chapters present exciting events that are no less on a level than the original story in terms of direction, and perhaps the events were somewhat expected, but that did not stop us from enjoying the experience, and while the basic ending is the Leaving open possibilities as to where the story could go in the future, the new story gives us a clear indication of what to expect.
New Playable Characters
The expansion adds 3 new playable characters, the first of which is Fujin, who finally returns with a distinctive fighting style that makes her a suitable character for short and medium range combat, with a distinct variety of skills and the different abilities the character is balanced as he is slower than other characters. The second character is Sheeva, who comes back with a fierce and fast fighting style, but requires constant close-quarters confrontations. There is no doubt that both characters will be satisfactory for two different categories of players.
The third character is the new guest RoboCop from the famous classic film, who comes to us armed with various weapons and is undoubtedly strong, but his fighting style lacks the touch that distinguishes him from other guests such as Terminator and Spawn Example: In addition to the new characters and In addition to additional story chapters, the expansion offers a number of new fashion packs.
Overall Verdict
As for the expansion in general, we found that the content doesn’t justify the $39.99 price tag. The story breakfast, as already mentioned, offers 3 hours of play time, and the three additional characters are not a convincing reason either. If you haven’t tried Mortal Kombat 11 and want to purchase it with the expansion, it is a lucrative deal, especially considering the satisfying content that the original game offers, but acquiring the expansion alone is not attractive at the moment due to the very high price.
